False Twister Yarns

A false twist textured yarn is a continuous filament yarn that has been processed to introduce crimps, coils, loops and other fine distortions along the yarn's length. False twisting is a technique which is used to produce a texturized effect in yarns and a false twist is achieved by first passing a moving yarn through a region where it is heated to above the second order transition temperature of the materials from which the yarn is made, subsequently cooling the' yarn.

Product application for False twister Yarns

False twister Yarns are widely used in a variety of textile applications including sarees, dress materials, carpets, stretchable fabrics, garments, and even in technical textiles. Their versatility and performance make them suitable for both fashion and functional fabrics.

Technology Behind the Yarn

One of the most common and effective texturizing techniques is the false-twist process. In this method, high-speed multifilament yarn is twisted under heat, then cooled in the twisted state to set the shape and finally untwisted.

The result is a false-twist textured yarn known for its:

  • Excellent elasticity
  • High elongation
  • Superior bulk and coverage
  • Enhanced strength and durability

This process produces yarns that offer both aesthetic appeal and performance, making them ideal for dynamic textile applications.
